This is a great crossover between Home Alone and Mr. Bean, with some political commentary about multiculturalism in France snuck in. And best of all, it doesn’t take itself too seriously— after all, there is a scene near the beginning of three guys chasing each other covered in liquid bubblegum.
Genuinely haven’t laughed this much during a move in a while. Hard to top this classic high-energy slapstick farce style of comedy. Louis de Funes (and this film in general) certainly pays homage to Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin.
